The Ed Hartwell/Keshia Knight Pulliam drama is not ending anytime soon. And now, it appears Hartwell’s ex-wife, Lisa Wu, is being pulled into the mess.
“My second ex-husband, Ed Hartwell —who’s the father of my youngest son— got married to Keshia Knight Pulliam aka Rudy Huxtable,” Wu said in the latest episode of Hollywood Divas.
Adding, “But the way that it went down was a bit sketchy. To be blindsided was a little heartbreaking. I’m sure we’re going to get together and talk about this. But if she [Pulliam] brings the crazy, I’m really gonna have to give it to her.”
Well, apparently that sparked enough anger in the pregnant actress to contact her lawyer.
Pulliam responded on her podcast, Kandily Keshia: “Lisa Wu and I have never, will never, be friends,” she said. “I have no ill will for her, I don’t know her like that it was never a situation of stealing anyone’s husband. They were divorced many years before we even started dating and yes we live in Atlanta, it’s a small town…. I just want to say that I have no desire to continue to be a part of that lie and to continue to be part of a false made up story line that puts me in a defamatory, derogatory light and I don’t have anything more to say about that.”
Adding, “But my attorney will be dealing with that from a legal standpoint with TV one and that whole situation, Lisa Wu, so forth and so on. It’s very simple, no need to say my name, because I’m not a part of it.”
In a response to this, early Sunday morning Wu wrote a lengthy Instagram post, putting Keshia out on Front Street.
“I was busy trying to heal, which I advise her to do,” she starts off saying. “This is not the platform. I’ve allowed people to assume as they wish and it’s been hurtful. But it’s no one’s business and there is children involved. Not only her unborn child, but my 9-year-old, who can read very well.”
Concluding, “‘Industry cool’ does not mean friends. Stop reaching. I have not said a word but please don’t push me. I’m not here for it, nor have I said one negative thing about this situation, nor her. Leave me and my child out of this circus.”
In the actual Instagram post, she reveals that Keshia shopped around four reality shows, one in which she wanted Wu and Hartwell to be involved— questioning Keshia’s memory.
So for now, there you have it. This is officially a To Be Continued kind of situation.
Let’s just hope by the time Keshia’s baby girl makes it into the world, all this mess is settled.
