It has certainly been an interesting few months for Michael Strahan to say the least. Now the former Live host is opening up in a new interview and let’s just say he doesn’t miss his former gig.

As reported by Love B. Scott via Page Six, Michael Strahan sat down with Chelsea Handler for his first interview since leaving the highly rated daytime talk show Live, and he didn’t hold anything back.

The former football player told Handler during an upcoming episode of her Netflix show: “I really haven’t missed it. But I loved it. Don’t get me wrong. I loved it. When you get a break, sometimes you kind of go, ‘Wow, I kind of needed it.’ I needed a break.”

In case you may have forgotten, Strahan departed his co-hosting gig at Live back in May amidst highly publicized controversy. He abruptly announced he would be joining Good Morning America full-time. The news caused co-host Kelly Ripa to immediately take time off after she learned of it only minutes before the rest of the world.

However, his departure from Live wasn’t the only thing Strahan,44, was in the mood to discuss, as he gave a bit of insight into hosting the revamped version of ABC’s The $100,000 Pyramid, which airs later this summer. He also has a men’s clothing line in the works, featuring his namesake.

Here’s to wishing Strahan much success in all of his future endeavors, in front of the camera and beyond.
