Robin Roberts Breaks Down While Discussing Battle With Cancer
We all cheered on Robin Roberts as she triumphantly overcame cancer. Now the host is opening up about the fight that almost claimed her life.
At the Cannes Lions Festival, the Good Morning America anchor cried as a clip from her ABC special Robin Roberts’ Journey was played in front of the audience, Page Six reports.
The scene showed Robin’s recovery after her bone marrow transplant in 2012.
“That particular moment is what people commented on and appreciated most – you need to see the vulnerability, it is not the easiest to show you are down on your knees,” Roberts explained.
Sharing her story helped raise awareness of the need for bone marrow donors, so more lives can be saved.
We love her ability to be vulnerable for the greater good!
