Bobby Shmurda, the rapper best known for his catchy controversial hit, “Hot N*gga,” is suing the NYPD for an alleged false arrest, NY Daily News reports.

Ackquille Pollard (his real name) claims that he was hanging out with a friend when cops knocked on the door back in 2014.

“When one of the occupants opened the door a slight bit to see who was there, Officer Douglas Corso and other police officers kicked in the door and illegally entered the residence without a search warrant,” according to the suit filed Friday.

Police claim they saw Pollard try to hide a handgun. Pollard insists none of the illegal items confiscated from the house belongs to him.

The gun charge was dismissed, but he is now facing weapons possession charges in both Manhattan and the Bronx, according to the site.

We will see how this complicated case pans out.
