While Beyoncé was busy being amazing in all forms of media, her little sister Solange Knowles was down in New Orleans hosting a slew of events for Jazz Fest.

The 29-year-old’s company hosted THE SAINT HERON HOUSE!, an interactive experience during Jazz Fest that features artist talks, pop-up shops, and evening juke joints for dancing. The two-day event coincides with the city’s annual festival that brings jazz, blues, and R&B artists from around the globe.

On Saturday, Knowles, her husband Alan Ferguson, and Janelle Monae linked up for a Saint Heron sit-down interview and to attend Jazz Fest 2016 shows. Monae also performed a few Prince hits that afternoon for the crowd.

As reported by The YBF, Janelle dedicated her entire set to her mentor Prince. The Yoga songstress, who collaborated with Prince on her track Givin’ Em What They Love, covered Prince’s Take Me with U and Let’s Go Crazy. “Oh, we’re gonna party,” she said. “We’re gonna celebrate Prince. My entire set is dedicated to him. He was free. He was fearless. He was music. He was rock and roll. He was on beat.”

Wearing purple the entire day and shining purple lights in the Saint Heron store, Solange honored the great musician in her own way as well.

“I’m lucky enough to be friends with her,” Knowles recently told ELLE about Monae coming down for Jazz Fest. “But the reason I’m so excited she’s speaking at our panel is because Janelle Monáe is a phenomenal woman. She’s someone I relate to and look up to as a woman in the industry. She’s running her own label. She’s mentoring artists. She’s putting records out herself. She’s creating her own artistic statements through fashion and beauty. She’s a phenomenal performer. And, she’s officially the one who hooked me up with my husband. So I’m forever indebted to Janelle Monae.”

So much beauty and #BlackGirlMagic going on right now— love these two!
