Being organized is probably the most essential quality one can have. Honestly beauties, the simple truth is that attaining structure can have a positive effect on your work life, increase your productivity and can even be beneficial to your personal life. However, let’s face it, we often don’t tap into the inner organized goddess, but she does exist.

To ensure we all discover her, HelloBeautiful has five simple things you can do to bring order to your life all while sipping a cup of joe.

1.Use Checklists to Stay on Track

This is probably the simplest thing you can do to achieve structure. Creating a to-do list helps keep you on track with your daily goals. But as you’re breezing through that list of tasks, remember lovelies, don’t confuse quality with quantity. Just because your list has 10 items or more does not necessarily mean all the items need to be accomplished that day. So, dear beauty, prioritize the heck out of that list!

2. Give Your Days a Theme

Jack Dorsey, the CEO of both Twitter and Square, revealed he give his days a theme. In an interview with Techonomy, the Silicon Valley heavy-hitter said, “The way I found that works for me is I theme my days. On Monday, at both companies, I focus on management and running the company. Tuesday is focused on product. Wednesday is focused on marketing and communications and growth.” So beauties, while sipping your choice of java, give your day a theme that will help you really home in on what you have to accomplish. (And if that theme is simply to “be as fab as Bey” that’s ok too. No judgment.)

3. Purge Your Desk

It is too easy to let your desk or office get lost under piles of paperwork, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Color-code those babies, which can help you find things quickly and more efficiently when you need them.

4.Get Your Decluttering Game On Fleek

Sorting through your emails and decluttering your inbox is essential. However, don’t get so caught up in responding to emails that it takes time away from actually doing your work. Give yourself a deadline to respond to emails (which you can easily figure out over that steaming cup of coffee), turn your notifications off so you are not distracted, and move on to tackling the day.

 5. Minimize Your Daily Reminders To Just One Calendar

Ok ladies, we know we love a calendar, but let’s be real, we don’t need ALL the calendars! Choose one that works best for you and transfer the day’s schedule so you are kept abreast of your activities. Whether it’s a dry-erase board, on your phone or a pretty planner, sip your coffee and get your calendar game together!
