Will Smith isn’t letting a silly thing like an Oscar’s snub hold him back from getting his paper.

After a two-week battle, Netflix secured the rights to a new Smith movie called “Bright” for $90 million dollars, Business Insider reports. The film is a cop thriller that incorporates crime with fantasy.

Analysts are expecting some major theatre conflicts because Netflix streams the movies on its platform the same day it is released nationwide.

“It’s going to be very, very difficult for Netflix to get the major theater chains to carry its movies,” FBR Capital Markets analyst Barton Crockett recently told The Los Angeles Times.

But the subscription service hopes that the big name and the big movie will entice more people to sign up.

Huge win for Netflix and Will Smith. Who needs an Oscar?
