If you haven’t been checking for Paster Le’Andria Johnson from Oxygen’s new show, “Preachers of Atlanta,” you need to get on this woman’s game real quick. She’s a total cutie, a Grammy Award-winning Gospel artist and she’s making waves with her unique, innovative pastoring techniques at Atlanta’s I.P.C (Imperfect People Changing) Ministries. Her stirring live performances and the great lengths that she goes to in order to help her followers will surely make her one of this year’s biggest names in reality TV.
However, it is this powerhouse’s youthful and colorful sense of style that really makes Le’Andria fun to watch on screen. Whether she’s wearing her signature strawberry blond top-bun or an array of pastels, this woman always knows how to strut toward the altar in style.
Le’Andria isn’t the only one who knows how to wear the flyest looks while singing her praises to the Lord. Peep some more of our favorite churchgoing fashionistas below:
1) First Lady Michelle Obama
That striking baby blue color against her smooth, brown skin says it all. The cut is feminine and flirty, but just conservative enough to not draw shady looks from Deacon Ethel in the front row.
2) Meagan Good
We’re big fans of these adorable optical illusion type looks. The black accents are fabulous on Meagan because they slim down her already super tiny waist, but the buttons are also really cute.
3) Erica Campbell
This is another shade of blue that we’re also really loving for mid-to-dark-skinned beauties. Plus, Erica’s flowy sleeves are a dope nod to the robes that choirs wear on Sunday mornings.
4) Tamar Braxton
Okay, hear us out. We all know that Tamar became internet meme gold due to her intense facial expressions at last year’s BET Awards. We also think a different color may have made for a nicer contrast with Tamar’s skin tone and blond hair color. However, the matching fur coat that she was rocking with this dress was pretty fabulous and we’ll take those sheer, bedazzled Louboutins any day!
5) Tia Mowry-Hardrict
We love the risk Tia is taking with this extra long asymmetrical look. It’s great for a Sunday service look because it’s simple, versatile and it gives the outfit just enough drama to stand out from the crowd. If you try it on yourself, just be careful not to trip on your train while walking to the collection plate!
Make sure to watch Le’Andria do her thing at the altar by tuning into Oxygen’s new show, “Preachers of Atlanta,” when it premieres on Wednesday, Feb 3, 10/9C!
