Have you seen Toni Braxton and Babyface’s recent performance of “Where Did We Go Wrong” on “Good Morning America” from 2014? Their live rendition is just as (if not more) beautiful than the studio version. Their voices and moods are perfectly in sync. Babyface strumming the guitar is one of the saddest, most beautiful pieces of music we’ve ever heard. And Toni was giving us life singing those lyrics that every woman who’s ever been wronged or cheated on can relate to.

It’s been good watching Toni continue to work with Babyface for over 25 years in the industry. The beautiful songstress says that they have different opinions, but Mr. Edmonds understands her as an artist and as a person in ways that nobody else does. It shows in the visceral, heart-wrenching music that they make together. Toni Braxton sings—not just to entertain us, but because of the simple fact that it gives her joy. She says this explicitly in interviews, but you can hear it in her voice, too.

A happy divorcee and mother of two strapping teenage boys, Denim and Deizel, Toni is now dating for fun and focusing on her career again. The Braxton name is inescapable these days, as Toni and her sisters (Tamar, Traci, Trina and Towanda) have virtually been ruling the airways since 2011 with their extremely popular reality show, “Braxton Family Values.”

We wonder what brilliant and beautiful music Toni makes with her work hubby, Babyface, next.

Don’t forget to tune into “TONI BRAXTON: THE MOVIE EVENT” on Lifetime, Jan. 23 at 8/7c!
