It’s been almost a year since Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels had their messy breakup. Afterwards, Nicki began dating rapper Meek Mill, the two went on tour and are reportedly planning to buy a house together.

The first lady of Young Money may be too happy for her ex-Safaree who is ready to sue her for millions.

According to TMZ, Safaree needs his share of profits from Nicki’s three studio albums: Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and The Pinkprint.

If that wasn’t enough, Nicki’s former flame also wants coins from features with Beyonce including “Flawless (Remix)” and “Feeling Myself” as well as her single “Only” featuring Drake, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne.

One would assume Safaree already received a check as well as his share of royalties from Nicki’s first two albums since he’s credited as an executive producer.

Even though Safaree previously tweeted “…Stop saying i write her stuff! not true!!! she sits w/a pen&pad &does it herself!” according to Vibe, he has voice memos, video footage and witnesses that will attest to contributions to her music.

In a previous interview with The Breakfast Club, Safaree was visibly upset with Nicki after the two had exchanged jabs on social media.

“But when you try to pull me down, and discredit what I’ve done for you, that’s what’s weak to me,” he said. “Don’t say I don’t have no talent, because every time it came to writing raps and doing music, it was me, her and the beat. She don’t do it by herself.”

We wonder if this situation is less about the money and more about forcing Nicki to go to court and take time away from her role in Barbershop 3 and producing her new ABC Family series?

Is Safaree being bitter or does he have a legitimate lawsuit on his hands? Let us know what you think!
