Lotus Entertainment To Produce Amy Winehouse Biopic

A biopic chronicling the life and tragic death of gone too soon Amy Winehouse is in development.
Noomi Rapace, known for her roles in Prometheus and the original version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, is in talks to play the talented soul singer, Variety reports.
The biopic announcement follows the release of the critically acclaimed Amy documentary.
Kirsten Sheridan, who feels a deep connection to the Back To Black singer, will be directing the film.
In a statement, Sheridan explained, ‘Amy’s music is felt so deeply by the audience because it was deeply personal. Her vulnerability was her strength. She was called many things — a diva, a lost soul preyed upon by tabloids, a tortured genius; our aim is an innovative, emotional and life-affirming approach as we go through the looking glass into her life and art.’
We will definitely be looking out for this one.
