For Halloween, rapper Nicki Minaj dressed as a princess, complete with a tutu, a crown and a magical wand. While leaving 1Oak in Las Vegas, she’s seen telling a woman in a motorized scooter, “I command you to walk” while laughing hysterically.
Many of Nicki’s super fans, her “barbz” thought it was funny, but others began to drag the rapper for her insensitivity. The Instagram video even caught the eye of gossip blogger Perez Hilton which made Nicki clap back.
Perez wrote a blog post entitled, “Nicki Minaj Uses Her Halloween Wand To ‘Command’ A Person In A Wheelchair To Walk In Awkward Vid — But Is The Person A Friend In On The Joke??”
Nicki then tweeted to Perez, “Lol. That’s NOT a disabled person and u know that. Are u that desperate for attention?”
Perez immediately fell back in saying, “[I] updated the post a few mins ago. And how was I supposed to know a person in a wheelchair ISN’T disabled?”
Then she added a knock out rebuttal and created the hashtag that’s now going viral. “B*tch, u knew. That’s my friend in a scooter. Have a great day. I surely will.”
According to Perez, the person in the scooter was her makeup artist, Sheika Daley but without the context of their inside joke, Nicki’s comments do seem obnoxious. This is a lesson for Nicki that EVERYTHING shouldn’t be posted on social media because it can and will be scrutinized.
