That Misty Copeland reign just won’t let up! The prima ballerina is everywhere right now! This week she performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Her documentary, “A Ballerina’s Tale” is currently in theaters, her autobiography, Life In Motion, is being developed by New Line Cinema and now Misty will be producing a television series!

According to Deadline, after reading an article about Misty, writer Tracy Oliver (The Misadventures of Awkward Black GirlSurvivor’s Remorse, Barbershop 3) cold called and pitched herself to Misty and her manager, Gilda Squire.

Tracy studied music, dance and theatre throughout her life including at Stanford University. She was already working on developing a dance themed series. After reading an article about Misty and her historic rise to prominence, Tracy knew they had to work together.

Their untitled FOX show will center around “…a young, hip and diverse group of aspiring dancers as they fiercely compete for places in a top ballet company” described Deadline.

We look forward to more images of ballerinas of color on primetime television! Congrats Misty!
