More Migrants Make Their Way To Europe, Countries Debate How Many Refugees To Accept Past Their Borders

Yesterday, the president of France, François Hollande, announced that he will be taking in 24,000 refugees over the next two years as his solution to the migration problems that have been plaguing Europe. Britain and Germany have also responded to the crisis, as Prime Minister David Cameron has said that he will take in 20,000 Syrian refugees while Chancellor Angela Merkel has promised to set aside $6.7 billion for the crisis. Migrants from Serbia continue to trek across Hungary’s borders, walking day and night and weathering cold temperatures to make it across highways, railroad tracks and razor-wire fences.
