Judge Rejects Request To Drop Charges Against Freddie Gray’s Killer Cops
Judge Barry Williams has thrown out motions from the defense in the Freddie Gray case. Williams is going forward with the range of charges facing the police officers involved with Gray’s death including false imprisonment, involuntary manslaughter and depraved heart murder. The judge has also decided to keep State Attorney Marilyn Mosby involved with the proceedings, saying that her marriage to Councilman Nick Mosby and her husband’s experience of working in a district that suffers from a disproportionate amount of violence doesn’t bias or impede Mosby’s judgement on the case.
