A 2,000-year-old temple in Palmyra, Syria has literally been blow to bits by ISIS as a war tactic. Experts are unsure exactly when the attack occurred; Syria’s director-general believes the attack took place on Sunday but the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights states that the attack could have happened as early as a month ago. News on this bombing attack comes only days after Khaled al-As’ad, an 82-year-old archaeologist that worked in Palmyra, was beheaded in public.
