Apparently, Dancing With the Stars thought it was cute to have one of their dancers to attempt the whip and nae nae in a promo for the upcoming season. John Legend told BuzzFeed news on Friday that he is working on developing a sitcom with Blackish creator, Kenya Barris, loosely based on his marriage with Teigen.

“It’s inspired by them — they’re both super creative and super effusive and I’m just fans of them and everything they stand for,” Barris said in a phone interview of Legend and Teigen, who are working as producing partners on the project. “I’m really excited about it.”

The show’s tentative title is Ordinary People. See what they did there? Aaaaw. If the pilot gets the green light then filming will start in February.

There’s a man named Jon Astor-White suing Empire executive producers Danny Strong and Lee Daniels for half a million dollars, plus additional damages, claiming that they stole his idea, reports TMZ. Astor-White claims that he shopped around a show called King Solomon back in 2007, which would have starred Richard Roundtree (yes, the man who played the original Shaft), and that the show had similarities to Empire.

So far, Empire creators have been sued by a woman who claims she’s the real Cookie, a man with a connection to the Jackson family, and Marvin Gaye III hasn’t sued yet, but insinuated that some of his ideas were stolen and that he’s planning a lawsuit also.
