Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are divorcing after 20 years together and almost 13 years of marriage, according to reports.
“While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment,” the pair told PEOPLE in a statement.
“To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time.”
After meeting when their bands Bush and No Doubt toured together in 1995, the two dated for six years before tying the knot in 2002. They were set to celebrate their anniversary next month.
Stefani added they had been through so much that it was a miracle they stayed together this long. Stefani and her soon-to-be ex husband have three young sons together. Kingston is 9, Zuma will be 7 this month, and Apollo is 17-months.
Divorce is never easy, especially with children involved, so we wish them the best.
