Nicki Minaj made no apologies about her Twitter beef with MTV and Taylor Swift after her video Anaconda was snubbed for “Video Of The Year” at the 2015 VMAs. The Barb visited Good Morning America where she discussed the phone conversation she had with Taylor following the social media dispute.
Nicki described their convo:
“First of all, I spoke to Taylor Swift yesterday on the phone,” she said. “Um, so she was, you know, she was super super sweet, and she apologized. She said, ‘Look, I didn’t understand the big picture of what you were saying, but now I get it.’ So, we’re all good.”
Taylor also apologized to Nicki on Twitter for missing the greater point.

She added,
‘Anaconda’ just had such a huge cultural impact, and on top of that, we broke the Vevo record. […] Therefore, ‘Anaconda’ should have been nominated. I do think if it was one of the pop girls, it would’ve had many nominations.”
