Brittney Griner and her fiancée Glory Johnson were arrested yesterday after a nasty fight.
Maricopa County cops arrived at Griner’s home in Phoenix Wednesday afternoon after Johnson’s sister called about a domestic dispute between the couple, TMZ.com reports.
It’s unclear what started the argument, but things turned physical after Griner threw a dog bowl against a wall. Griner told cops that they’d been fighting for days and were having “serious relationship issues.”
When cops arrived they noticed that they each of ladies had “minor physical injuries.” According to TMZ, Griner had cuts and a bite mark, and Johnson was bleeding from the mouth.
Griner and Johnson were arrested for assault and disorderly conduct. They were released from jail around 4 a.m. today.
The pair, who appeared on Say Yes To The Dress, got engaged back in August after dating just a few months. They had even been gushing about each other up until Tuesday.
It’s not clear at this time whether they still plan to get married.
The WNBA has announced that it will be investigating the situation.
