Did Idris Elba Fans Kill His Dreams Of Becoming The First Black James Bond?

Remember that rumor about Idris Elba possible becoming the first Black Bond? It turns out, they were just rumors and not the kind that turn out to be real. During an interview at the London’s British Film Institute on Tuesday, Elba revealed he was never in talks with producers to be cast in the film.
“Honestly, it’s a rumor that’s really starting to eat itself,” he said. “If there was ever any chance of me getting Bond, it’s gone.”
Idris blames current Bond Daniel Craig for starting the rumor. “Daniel Craig actually set the rumor off. About four years ago he said Idris Elba would be a great Bond and then it started to creep,” he said. “I blame Daniel.”
