Our bae Usher is currently in the hospital! But don’t worry. The Grammy Award winner, and part owner of Jay Z‘s TIDAL streaming app, is coherent! He’s just undergoing necessary foot surgery, as he shared on his official Instagram (@howuseeit).
Before the procedure, Usher showed that he was in good spirits about it, posting a picture and two video clips as he compared himself to the “Six Million Dollar Man.” For all you young’uns out there, the Six Million Dollar Man was a TV series in the 1970s in which the lead character, Steve Austin, was an injured astronaut. In the premiere season, he receives surgery that gives his body machine-like parts and functions and makes him super bionic.
Talk about some pop culture trivia!
And while still feeling nostalgic, Usher then referenced rocker Frank Zappa, even adding on psychedelic details to his second video. Evidently, the singer was having a major 70s moment while in the hospital. (He was born in 1978).
We wish the “Good Kisser” singer a speedy recovery!
And he is doing fine! Below is a video update from the man himself!
