Kanye West can sell out shows all over the world, but he’s pretty good at getting students to show up for class too!
There’s been no late registration for Kanye’s course on the LA Trade Technical College, where he teaches a class on design, TMZ.com reports. It’s part of his community service for pleading no-contest to battery last March.
Since Yeezy started teaching there, more men have begun signing up to tap into their stylish side. Court documents state that LATTC is crediting him with a 40 percent increase in male enrollment for the fashion design program.
Although it’s part of a court order, there’s word that Kanye is still taking his role as a professor very seriously. Supposedly he’s taken great care in determining what kinds of assignments he’ll give his students and even in providing them with personal mentorship.
He’ll be done with his sentence this May just in time for the end of the Spring semester. There’s no word on whether he plans to continue teaching after this school year is over.
