With a new reality TV show “Christina Milian: Turned Up” on E!, album on Young Money records and relationship with Lil Wayne, Christina Milian is ready to take her career to the next level.
The “Dip It Low” singer is ready to get “turned up” and is opening up like never-before on the family-orientated show and #TeamBeautiful wants to get in on the fun! We recently chatted with the Latina beauty and she revealed to us how she came to the decision to allow cameras to film her daughter Violet, getting her nipple pierced and being the “brown Kardashians.”
Get into our interview below:
HelloBeautiful: How embarrassing was it to get your nipple pierced in front of your mom?
Christina Milian: Not embarrassing at all! My family and I are very uninhibited and we share a lot of our personal life with each other. I came from my mom and she knows what my boob looks like.
HB: You were asked to give an impromptu performance of “Dip It Low” on the first episode, do you ever get tired of performing it?
CM: It never gets old but deep down I can’t wait to perform new records — that’s what really excites me. But it’s great to see the smiles on everyone’s faces and see how much they love the song. I wouldn’t be here without that record.
HB: “Christina Milian Turned Up!” is like the brown “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” How does that comparison make you feel?
CM: I suppose it’s a compliment. I mean we are fans of their show. One thing we like about them is how much they celebrate family and God and coming together no matter what. We are sure that there will be lots of comparisons but now it’s time to see who the Milians are and what we’re all about.
HB: How hard was it for you to decide to allow cameras to film your daughter?
CM: I thought about it and Violet is a huge part of my life and it wouldn’t make any sense to not show that side of my life because being a single mother can be tough. I want to show the example that you can be a single mother and work and handle a lot of other things at the same time.
HB: What is your go to move in the club?
CM: Hands up. It almost looks like the “nae nae.” Lol.
