Nancy Grace probably thought 2 Chainz was just another ignorant rapper when she enlisted the Def Jam artist on her “HLN” show for a debate on the legalization of marijuana, instead, an educated tax paying citizen who has a strong opinion on the topic, showed up. Did you know he graduated high school with a 4.0 average and landed a scholarship to play basketball in college?
In typical Nancy Grace fashion, she attempted to over talk Chainz, like she often does her guests, but Chainz held his own offering that legalizing marijuana would free up tax payers money. He also argued that legalizing marijuana would allow people with criminal records, stemming from marijuana charges, to buy homes, etc.
Grace argued that people should not have such access to marijuana because there are irresponsible people who allow their 2-year-old children to smoke.
“I don’t know if you know, but people can get pot right now, whether it’s legal or not. I just feel like it’s legalized it’ll cut out some of the criminal aspect of it and free up things in the legal system,” 2 Chainz said.
“Like what?” Nancy responded. “As far as the overcrowding of prisons and putting this on our criminal record to prevent us from getting loans, prevent us from getting homes,” Chainz added.
Nancy couldn’t seem to understand what he was talking about, nor what he was saying about freeing up tax payers’ money. Let him explain…
“For me, I’m a tax payer. Okay? My bus gets pulled over and they say they smell weed, like they do all of the time. They find a grinder on my bus that has .01 of residue inside of it. Okay? They lock me up. They strip me. Then they find out I’m a rapper and they want to know hoe fine Nicki Minaj is. They want to take pictures and let me go. They obviously charged me with a .01. I go to court. I go to trial. They say, ‘You pack your own bags. Is this your grinder?’ I tell them, ‘No.’ They say, ‘Well, who packs you bag?’ They find out my security does it so they drop my case. Then, they pick it up on my security who obviously beats the case. If that’s not a waste of tax payer’s time and money, I don’t know what is.”
Chile, he ain’t never lie!
Nancy agreed. “All right. I’m not disagreeing with you that was a big to do about finding one joint.”
2 Chainz offered to participate in a monthly discussion and Nancy responded with shade. Can you tell who lost that debate?
2 Chainz be like…
