Meanwhile, the custody battle over the estranged couple’s two daughters,  Lola, 12 and Zahra, 10, may be getting a bit nasty. After reports of Rock’s petition for joint physical and legal custody of his girls came to light, Malaak is firing back against his allegations. Last Tuesday when Rock filed for divorce, he claimed Malaak was preventing him access from seeing Lola and Zahra. Malaak’s attorney released a statement where she denied Rock’s accusations saying,

Malaak is saddened and disappointed that Chris has accused her of keeping their children from him, which he knows is untrue and can be so easily disproved. We all know Chris leads a very busy public life while Malaak and their children definitely do not. She hopes the privacy of their children is still as important to Chris as it is to her and that it will be respected. They will always be the main focus of her life.

Despite rumors circulating Malaak is angling for sole custody, People magazine is reporting the intel is far from the truth. According to sources:

“There is absolutely no truth – none at all – to the reports that she’s asking for full custody,” says the source.
