Phaedra Parks has more to worry about than some old rumors about her estranged husband, Apollo Nida.
Last season, it was huge controversy on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” that Kenya Moore had made allegedly made pass at Apollo. He told Phaedra that she’d offered him oral sex, claiming that he’d even met up with her in Los Angeles
Kenya insisted all season that those things never happened, but almost no one was willing to believe her. Apollo even repeated his claims during the season 6 reunion, where Porsha Williams dragged her to the ground by her hair and Phaedra repeatedly called her a “whore.”
With his 8-year prison sentence looming, Apollo decided on the last episode of “RHOA” that it was time to come clean about his false accusations against Kenya. He also offered her his apologies for having lied about the nature of their interaction. That wasn’t enough to make Phaedra feel differently about either of them.
“I was unmoved,” Phaedra wrote, explaining that she’s got way too much on her plate to even give Apollo’s confession a second thought. “Right now, I am completely focused on my children and keeping them, and myself for that matter, in a stable, healthy, and happy place. I am not paying attention to any of the chaos that is going on, because it’s not productive.”
Kenya, on the other hand, was thrilled to finally be vindicated on “RHOA.” And she made sure to call Phaedra out for blindly trusting he lying husband.
“Phaedra has called me a whore 99 different ways. As I stated, I may be a lot of things, but I have never been anyone’s whore,” Kenya stated. “Even if she chose to believe her husband, she never checked his story out before publicly slandering and defaming me. As a lawyer herself, I was appalled she would behave in such a way. Apollo clearly has the propensity to lie.”
Just for good measure, Kenya also made it a point to remind people that Phaedra was very much involved in scandalizing her name. “Phaedra chose not to even speak to me about it at all, prohibiting me to even have a response, prove my innocence, or defend myself,” she stated. “Yet, she was more than willing to go to the media to spread this fictitious story.”
Well, Kenya, you finally got Apollo to tell the truth. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like that is doing anything to change the cast’s opinion of you.
