BET is putting “106 & Park” on pause, but it’s going to be off the air a bit longer than you think.
Bow Wow…excuse us, Shad Moss and Keshia Chanté are about to get a lengthy vacation!
You might have noticed that “106 & Park” did not air today like it normally does. NecoleBitchie.com reports that it will be off the air through Friday, and she’s half right.
A source from network told HelloBeautiful that the show will actually be on hiatus for the next two weeks, so viewers shouldn’t expect to see it until about September 8. The break came swiftly after Karrueche Tran cracked a joke about Blue Ivy’s hair from the 2014 MTV VMAs (really, girl?).
To the casual observer, it might look like BET yanked the show off the air after a guest came for Beyonce’s baby, but our insider claims that isn’t the case. Supposedly, this haitus has been on the books for months, and the timing is convenient. That’s an incredibly appropriate word to use for this situation.
We’ve also been told that rumors about the entire writing and production staff being fired are 100 percent false. We heard that no one’s been cut from the show’s payroll at this time, and hopefully it stays that way. Employment is a beautiful thing!
There’s no word on what BET plans to air in place of “106 & Park” until the show returns; “Just Keke” would probably be the best fit right now.
