Tracy Reese left behind her typical colorful frocks for her fall 2014 collection. Instead, she introduced us to funky socialites and boho princesses. Dare I say, this is Michelle Obama’s closet after the President’s term is over.
“There’s more than one way to wear a dress,” Tracy said backstage after her show. “I think we’re so used to categorizing them as ‘pretty frocks’ or ‘go-to-work dresses,’ but I do all kinds of things with them. I wear them with sneakers or throw a casual anorak on top.”
In addition to showing us dresses with abstract florals and calm winter mural prints, Tracy showed a modern way to revamp our separates. Models strutted the runway with relaxed boyfriend fit trousers and cozy plaid cardigans that offered a refreshing balance.
But the highlight on the runway for me were the chevron-patterned wools and croc-stamped leathers. I mean, can we get this collection a little earlier?
