Can we all just agree that Michael B. Jordan looks good on the big screen (and otherwise, just saying)?
After a compelling performance as Oscar Grant in last year’s critically acclaimed “Fruitvale Station,” the actor is returning to theaters in a playful role in a new romantic comedy “That Awkward Moment” (previously titled “Are We Officially Dating?”).
The 26-year-old actor plays “Mikey,” a med student who’s feeling sensitive and resorting to “ice cream therapy” after being dumped by his longtime love. But his boys (played by actors Zac Efron and Miles Teller) won’t let him stay down for long and the three New York bachelors make a pact to stay single even if they fall in love.
Mikey flashes his goods after an accidental use of suntan lotion changes their color.
But the three best friends end up “find themselves where we’ve all been — at that confusing “moment” in every dating relationship where you have to decide ‘so….where is this going?'”according to the synopsis. Directed by Tom Gormican, “That Awkward Moment” is set for release on January 31. See Michael B. Jordan talk more about his new character and get a sneak peek of the film in the featurette below!
