Shaunie O’Neal loves a good reality show, so much that she’s willing to fight her ex-husband and the father of their four children over it. As the executive producer of “Basketball Wives,” Shaunie is set to expand her reality horizons on a new show–“The Shaunie Project.” The show is about life with her and her kids, but Shaq is not too happy with that idea and has put his foot down. Shaunie rushed to court for an emergency order that will allow her to put her kids on the show. After all, she’s facing a strict January deadline to begin taping.
It’s being reported that Shaunie has tried convincing Shaq that her show is just like “TheCosby Show” — good, wholesome, family fun. She told him one of the episodes will focus on Shaunie’s aversion to working out. The kids will convince her that working out is good and they’ll all run a 5K together.
Shaq doesn’t believe it for a second and a source told TMZ that he thinks there’s way too many pressures on his kids from the producers that they won’t be able to keep the show “wholesome.” He’s convinced the show will end up showcasing a dysfunctional family that will hurt his kids, some of whom are already struggling in school.
