Kanye Westrecently made one of his maybe-he-has-a-point-but-why-does-he-have-to-say-that statements on On Air With Ryan Seacrest comparing Kim Kardashian to Michelle Obama. His actual words were:
“No one is looking at what [the president] is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [sexy swimsuit] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.”
And when Kim landed the cover of CR Fashion Book, the “New Slaves” rapper saw it as a breakthrough. “[Former French Vogue editor] Carine Roitfeld supports my girl. That’s a breakthrough. There’s a wall of classism that we are breaking through.”
Now here’s the thing–Kanye is right. FLOTUS would never Instagram a photo of herself in a swimsuit. This is a woman that has no need to be thirsty. Classism, yes. Michelle is classier than that!
When is the last time you said to yourself, “Man, what is Kim Kardashian wearing?” Well…maybe it was when she decided that this was a good idea:
To Kanye’s point, no one is watching what the President is wearing because we’re more concerned with what he’s doing with the Affordable Care Act oh and other things like, I don’t know…running a country. Remember when President Obama called Yeezy a “jackass?”Yeah, that was a moment in time. Seems appropriate now.
