When you mention Faith Evans, the name Notorious B.I.G is sure to follow. Back when Faith was emerging as Bad Boy’s newest R&B addition, The Notorious B.I.G was establishing himself as the king of New York. The Brooklyn emcee was gearing up for the release of his debut album “Ready To Die” when he and Faith fell in love on a photo shoot. Since their marriage in August, 1994, their names have been synonymous with each other. Where other artists might feel overshadowed, she doesn’t mind. “It has certainly helped,” she said.

“I never feel it’s a burden to be connected to BIG. It’s never going to not be that way. He was a huge part of my life,” she told us during an exclusive interview. “That’s not what gave me my talent, that’s not why people listened to my music.”

A year after they met, Faith released her album “Faith,” and sold 1.5 million copies. With Biggie and Faith’s career steadily rising, their relationship gained popularity. Biggie was killed in 1997 but his legacy lives on. “He’s one of the best who ever did it and I’m proud to have been in his life.”
