The Women’s Association of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) took on fashion week with a private show held at Neiman Marcus in the upscale Short Hills Mall. Hosted by the fashion and beauty icon Mikki Taylor, editor-at-large for ESSENCE magazine, 100 of New Jersey’s leading women enjoyed a presentation of gala season’s most desired gowns.

The event was a kickoff for the upcoming NJPAC Spotlight Gala 2013, Magical Voices, that will take place on October 5th.  One of the most buzzed about events in New Jersey of the year, the night’s performances include Broadway star Ann Hampton Calloway, R&B vocalist Ledisi, and the Grammy-nominated INDIA, among others.

Over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, Mikki Taylor presented a breathtaking assortment of looks that represent the cosmopolitan woman’s take on high glamour, standouts from the presented looks include a Naeem Kahn sheer high-neck ray-beaded cocktail dress with crystal embellishments that was paired with nude peep toe Jimmy Choo pumps, the Katherine Hepburn reminiscent Haute Hippie blazer and Georgia Armani pant paired with the Jimmy Choo Ruby Red heels.

Other go-to designers for the season include Oscar de la Renta, Alice + Olivia, The Row, Tadashi Shoji, Catherine Deane, and Badgley Mishka.

Best sure to visit NJPAC.com for more details about the gala, and be sure make sure your shopping includes a dash of elegance that is only achieved in dashing evening attire. For more information on featured looks contact Neiman Marcus, Short Hills, NJ at (877) 777-5321.
