The chaos backstage at the Rebecca Minkoff show was indescribable–pure bananas! Little did I know, folks were on TEN getting ready for a live performance from Janelle Monae.
Live music is a rarity during fashion week and it’s often a boring guitar set with an unknown vocalist. But Janelle’s NYFW debut was impressive. Backed by her band, Wondaland Art Society, Janelle got the party started as she skedaddled about the stage with The ArchAndroid‘s “Dance And Die.”
There was no empty seat in the house as we all bobbed our heads to the lyrics of “Q.U.E.E.N.” while dreaming of our next leather miniskirts and structured biker jackets purchases (at least that’s what I was doing)! Check out the video of the entire runway show above.
