During her time on “That’s So Raven,” the former child actress gained weight snacking at the craft services table. “I was addicted to that Thanksgiving feeling of cleaning your plate,” she told People. But in 2007, Raven-Symone decided to focus on getting healthy. She worked with a nutritionist, began cooking her own food, and performed exercises on an elliptical machine four times a week.
Her newly svelte figure made headlines, which Raven-Symone found “kind of irritating.”
“I believe you should be comfortable in your skin no matter what you go through — emotionally or whatever — as long as you’re healthy. It was just a lot for me. I really didn’t like it,” she told The Huffington Post.
Despite the unwanted attention, Raven-Symone is happy to have shed the extra pounds. “It’s great to put on clothes and not wear a girdle. And my thighs look super good!”
