Police are investigating in Georgia after a monument dedicated to one of Michelle Obama’s relatives was vandalized in a suburban town located near Atlanta. The vandals knocked over the monument and it will be examined for cracks. However, it is not clear when the vandalism took place.

A county commissioner stated that the stone was dedicated to the first lady’s great-great-great grandmother, Melvina Shields, who was born into slavery in the 1800’s. Can’t the Obama’s get a break?! Michelle is such a strong, intelligent, inspiring and beautiful woman who deserves nothing but respect. Even though no one was hurt, this is the type of deplorable action that needs to be punished.
