Preparing For The Trumpet Awards
Despite all of the bickering between the other ladies, Monifah was in a great place in her life. She has been in a relationship with her girlfriend for three years and was very confident in her self and her career. When it was time to prepare for the Trumpet Awards where the ladies would be doing a tribute to Chaka Khan, she politely put Nicci in her place for still holding a grudge against Syleena for “mushing” Monifah previously. Monifah wasn’t buying the fact that Nicci was upset about the “mush” and knew that it had to be more to the story. Yes, Nicci is obnoxious, but she’s not THAT crazy. Finally, it was time for the Trumpet Awards and since Faith was absent, Lotocha Scott filled in as her replacement. The ladies pulled off their performance perfectly and brought Chaka Khan to tears! Despite all of their drama, these ladies can definitely put on a show!
