Nicki Minaj takes up back to the streets in her new video, “Up in Flames”
The Young Money songstress is known for her forever-changing personalities and versatile rap flow, but in the latest video lifted from her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up album there are no colorful costumes or dance moves. Wearing a black hoodie and sunglasses, Nicki gives us her “mixtape self” and shows off her lyrical capabilities.
Anyway, little n—a don’t test the kid/ Even Maury Povich couldn’t test the kid/ Even R. Kelly couldn’t touch the kid/ And even with all your bars, you couldn’t text the kid,” she says in the songs opening lines.
It appears this is a project specially for the streets, as Nicki debuted the video on the popular urban site World Star Hip Hop. Just a week ago, the “American Idol” judge premiered the visuals for her single “High School” to the mainstream media.
