The Braxton sisters are back with another season of “Braxton Family Values”! We last left the girls in St. Lucia with Trina renewing her marriage vows to her cheating husband Gabe, Tamar preparing to start her music career with Vincent “Thee Herbet” as her husbandger, Toni battling with health problems, Towanda trying to fix her marriage to Andre and Traci working
towards being called something other than the “wannabe” on the opening credits. This season is even bigger than before with the first episode opening with drama between the girls and Tamar as Tamar embarks on her singing career and has to miss out on the sister trip to Italy. Check out the recap below.
Sister Trip To Italy, Minus Tamar
The girls planned a last minute trip to Italy to celebrate Towanda’s birthday! They were all very excited that they could spend time together as sisters and thought that Tamar would especially be excited considering she always talked about “sister time” and wanted to know “where my sisters at?!” When Toni told Tamar about the vacation plans, Tamar surprisingly said that she couldn’t attend the trip. She just released her first single, “Love and War” and had three weeks of press to do in New York with Vince that she couldn’t reschedule. Toni was upset that her youngest sister would miss out on the vacation, but understood that Tamar’s career was important to her. Tamar told Toni not to talk about her like a dog while on the trip and to not have too much fun without her. Toni couldn’t promise that they wouldn’t talk about Tamar at all because as we know, the sisters are ALWAYS talking about each other, but she did tell her that they would only talk about her a little bit, which is better than being talked about like a dog, I guess. Toni knew that this would add more fuel to the fire, and that the tension between Tamar and the other girls would have to be addressed soon.
When In Rome…
Although Tamar couldn’t attend the sister trip, the show must go on and Toni, Traci, Trina and Towanda headed off to Italy without their baby sis. While in Italy, the girls celebrated Towanda’s birthday, did some sight seeing, stomped a few grapes at a vineyard and went topless on a boat. They were enjoying a relaxing and drama free vacation until their last few days in Italy when Toni asked her sisters if they would go to Canada with her while she worked on her first movie. Of course the girls agreed to go, but wondered if they would be able to pry Tamar away from Vince long enough for her to attend. The sisters felt that Tamar and Vince were like Velcro – and not the kind that you can easily pull apart and put back together, but the kind that you have to literally force apart. You would think that Tamar’s sisters would be excited for her, her career and especially her marriage to Vince, but for some reason, they weren’t able to understand Tamar’s need to be around Vince 24/7. It looked like Tamar’s singing career and relationship with Vince could be causing a little bit of tension in the Braxton family.
She Did That!
On the other side of the world, Tamar was doing a huge press run for her new single, “Love and War”. Although she was sad she was missing the sister trip to Italy, she was happy to be touring the country and promoting her single. The first stop on her promo run was performing live on “The Wendy Williams Show”. Of course, Tamar was nervous and “shaking in her Loubotions” but when she hit the stage and her music started, “she did that!” Something about having a number one record did something to a big music exec like Vince Herbert, because he was flirting with Tamar like a little smitten teenaged boy and couldn’t keep his eyes off her! Maybe this was when “little Tamar” was conceived? Just throwing that out there.

After her performance on Wendy, Tamar and Vince jetted off to Las Vegas so Tamar could host the red carpet at the Soul Train Music Awards. It looked like Tamar was rubbing off on everybody, and not just her sisters because she had everyone on the red carpet using her phrases such as “get your life!” and “she did that!” Tamartians are taking over the world!
Sisterly Drama
After the girls returned from Italy, Toni went to visit Tamar since Mommy was in town. Toni and Tamar began talking about the “drama” that was brewing between Towanda and Tamar and called Mommy in to mediate the discussion. Things got heated between the girls when Tamar said that she didn’t have any beef with Towanda or anybody in the family for that matter, and that whoever had beef with her should say something about it. Mommy didn’t care who started beef with who or who’s fault it was, all she wanted was for the girls to fix it and fix it fast before there wasn’t any more sister relationships to fix! Could Towanda be slightly jealous of Tamar’s successful marriage and now her booming music career? Or could Tamar’s mouth be getting the best of her, again? Let us pray for the next sister trip to Canada, because I’m sure things will hit the fan, and fast!
