Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade gives us a glimpse into his life off the court in a new commercial for Dove’s “Men+Care” campaign. The NBA champion kicks off the first ever “fatherhood” campaign with his two sons, 11-year-old Zaire Blessing and 5-year-old Zion Malachi.
“The real moments in my Dove® Men+Care(TM) campaign capture the joy and excitement my boys and I feel when we are all together,” he said. “Being a father is the most rewarding aspect of my life and my children teach me, just as much as I teach them.”
From the looks of it, Dwyane’s greatest joy is being a hands-on father. Check him out in action below.
Meanwhile, in related D. Wade news, his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches-Wade made an appearance on a recent episode of the Dr. Phil show, themed Ex-Wives Seeking Justice.
On the show, she claims she lost custody of her sons because the legal system favored her rich and famous ex-husband.
Here’s what she had to say:
“Well a lot of it had to do with Mr. Wade’s celebrity and a lot of it had to do with his money. But I’ve seen the court system in a way that I’ve never seen it before. I went into that place hoping to get help for my children and I, but I found judges in the courtroom quoting statistics for Mr. Wade. They would speak about him as if they were introducing the starting lineup for a basketball game.”
“One time we were doing scheduling and we were asking when would Mr. Wade come in and testify. And she was saying, ‘Oh, I know when he’ll be in Chicago. They play the Bulls and right now they’re in Philadelphia.’ She knew all of these things and she’d say all of the time, ‘I’m a huge basketball fan.’ I was sort of hoping she’d be a fan of justice, but I found otherwise.”
