Solange Knowles is 5 foot 8 inches, or 1.73 meters in height. That makes her a little taller than big sister, Beyonce Knowles, who stands 5 foot 7 inches.
The 26-year-old singer was born June 24, 1986 in Houston, Texas, where she grew up alongside Beyonce. At the age of 16, Solange released her first album, “Solo Star.” There were rumors Solange would join Destiny’s Child as its fourth member, but they were quickly denied.
Solange also pursued an acting career, voicing a part on “The Proud Family” and appearing in the comedy “Johnson Family Vacation.” Her first starring role came in “Bring It On: All or Nothing,” the third in the popular franchise.
At the age of 17, she married Daniel Smith and gave birth the same year to a baby boy, Daniel Julez Smith, Jr. She took a hiatus from her career to move to Idaho with her family.
After divorcing Smith in 2007, Solange released her second album, “Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams,” which included her breakthrough single, “I Decided.” She’s been working on a follow-up since, and released an EP, “True,” last fall.
With her son and a bright future ahead of her, Solange is standing tall alongside her sister.
