"Betty & Coretta" Stars MAry J Blige & Angela Bassett
Is Mary J Blige A Good Fit For The Film ‘Betty & Coretta?’
“Behind every great man is a great woman” and Mary J. Blige and Angela Bassett teamed up to present the stories of the women behind Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X in “Betty & Coretta.” The Lifetime film, previously titled “Parallel Lives,” follows Betty Shabazz and Coretta Scott-King’s friendship after the death of their husbands and how they continued on as single parents. Also involved in the project for her expertise and historical presence during the civil rights movement is acclaimed actress Ruby Dee. “Betty & Coretta” is set to air February 2nd, according to Rap-Up.
Mary is still earning her acting stripes but we are optimistic about her performance in the TV flick. How do you think she will do? Take our poll and let us know:
