While I adored the color and swooned over my eclectic cut, I needed something new. I’m very used to changing up my look, but with my hair’s length being a bit challenged, I wasn’t sure how. I thought I’d go back to wigs and allow my one shaved side to grow back, but when I checked every wig store in Brooklyn, I was bored or horrified by the choices.
Then I met Stacy Charles (a natural hair stylist) at the Bohemian Soul Natural Hair Studio while shopping for shoes and we became fast friends, bonding over natural hair. This hair has been the most low maintenance style I’ve ever worn. I can go to the gym without worry and if the wind blows and I’m not trying to cover my tracks.
