I love it when celebrities step outside of their box and wow me with their style choices. Singer and actress Jordin Sparks was recently spotted on the red carpet at the 2012 Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s Honoring the PromSise gala rocking head-to-toe red. She added a bit of color to her fly look with a tangerine shoulder bag. This look has been on trend for years.
You can wear the monochrome palette for day or night to bring confidence and sophistication to your style. The beauty of this trend is that you can go as wild as you like in bright colors or for a more neutral tone. This trend is also the surest way to look taller and leaner–what’s not to like about?
So beauties, how do you pull off the monochrome trend without looking like you were dipped in a bucket of paint?
Mix up the hue. Although this trend is all about dressing in one color from head-to-toe, create some contrast by varying the hue of your selected color. Keeping the colors in the same family and adding variety with different hues–perfect balance.
Introduce patterns and mixed fabrics. If pure color is just too much for your style taste, add a pattern or a different fabric in the same hue just like Jordin Sparks did. This allows you to stay on trend all while giving a visually interesting look.
