Good Morning America anchor, Robin Roberts is set to take a medical leave in order to undergo a bone marrow transplant in late August/early September. The 51-year-old Roberts says, “It’s fascinating-slash-scary how to prepare yourself for something like this.”

“The [ratings] run that we’ve had has truly energized me,” said Roberts, who successfully battled breast cancer five years ago. “It’s pretty good medicine – I gotta say.”
The Daily News reports that during her absence, familiar faces like Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer, Katie Couric, Kelly Ripa and the cast of The View will fill in. We hope Robin has a successful surgery and recovery!
