Shala Monroque is a writer, fashion enthusiast, consultant and world traveler who lives in New York City. The St. Lucian native went from working as a hostess in New York City to socialite almost over night. Monroque currently serves as Creative Director for Garage magazine, has been praised by Vogue magazine and named a “style icon” by New York magazine for her superior fashion acumen.
Nowadays, the “it” girl can be spotted at major fashion shows, art gallery openings and the hottest parties around world. Some of her best friends include Muccia Prada, Dasha Zhukova, Margerita Missoni and her boyfriend is hotshot art dealer, Larry Gagosian.
