Whitney Houston’s body returned to her hometown of Newark last night, and according to a report from NBC, Whigham Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. The hearse traveled from Teterboro Airport, where officials had told The Associated Press Houston’s body would arrive Monday night on a flight from the Los Angeles area. A wake is planned for Thursday, and the funeral will be Friday at the Prudential Center, according to a source close to the arena.
Houston died Saturday at a hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. She was 48. Officials say she was underwater and apparently unconscious when she was pulled from a bathtub.
