The wonderful people at Blended Beauty sent me samples of their product to try. I have naturally curly hair and my biggest challenge is finding a product that helps control frizz, defines, and retains moisture. I have fine texture but a lot of hair so I also look for products that will not way the hair down.
If there is a curly hair product out there, best believe I’ve tried it before. I have experimented with different combinations of product and techniques to achieve a healthy head of shiny curl. Blended Beauty definitely stood out to me in more ways than one.
I could not have tried Blended Beauty products at a better time. Last year I decided to live on the edge and lighten my hair so that the top portion was blonde. I took very good care making sure I deep conditioned my hair often and went for regular treatments; however any method of processing will take a toll on the hair so I have recently opted for a darker semi-permanent color and will be transitioning back to natural color overtime.
Before I made the change to a darker color my hair became more thirsty than usual so I needed to change products and look for a moisture intensive line. Before writing the review I used Blended Beauty line for about 2-3 weeks. I noticed that my hair was a lot softer, shinier and retained moisture for a long period of time, which had always been my challenge.
I liked that before receiving the product I had to asses my hair type via the Blended Beauty website. After taking a short quiz you receive a customized program designed especially for your hair type. In the video below I take you through the steps and products I use to achieve my look.
In addition to the product being sulfate free and made from 98-99% natural ingredients, BB products have a pleasant vanilla based scent. This definitely had some therapeutic effect on my once stressed tresses.
If you have trouble retaining moisture, especially in these chilly winter months I highly recommend trying Blended Beauty.
