Brandy Gets Glam And Dishes To YRB Magazine
Don’t Call It A Comeback: Brandy Gets Glam For YRB Magazine
Not only did Brandy look fashion forwardly stunning in her YRB magazine spread, she dished on retreating from mainstream music after her last album, Human, her upcoming album Two Eleven (referencing her February 11th birthday and mentor Whitney Houston’s final day)–featuring Frank Ocean, Drake and Rico Love among others, working with Monica again after 14 years and coming into her own as an artist and as a woman.
In the interview, Brandy says, “I’m just excited to entertain and discover more and more about myself, and through these great experiences like doing an album, doing different roles, all of this stuff, it’s just reminding me of why I’m here and why I’m on this planet. I just want to continue to do everything that I’m supposed to do.”
She goes on to say, “It’s all a gift. I’m just so thankful. I just want to be able to do whatever it is that I’m meant to do. I’m just excited to discover more and more about me, because I forgot. I really forgot. I’m reminded more and more every time I experience things like I’ve been experiencing them over the last year.”
Brandy’s right. It’s been a while and we do need to be reminded of her incredible talents. As an actress and singer, Brandy reigns supreme and it’s refreshing to see her back on her A-game. We’re patiently waiting to hear the new album, Two Eleven and can’t wait to see her in Tyler Perry’s The Marriage Counselor.
